I was a baseball player, and I could really hit,

But when I took the drug test, they said I was unfit.

I tried to get my act cleaned up but I kept striking out.

My scorecards all read zero, it had turned into a rout.

So I came into the program clueless and confused,

And there you all showed me how to live life and not use.

I learned to think of others, how to stumble but not fall;

That the steps are like the bases and I had to touch them all.
